Packing While Plus: Plus Size Clothing Suggestions for Versatility

Plus Size Travel Blog, travel

The cost of checked luggage continues to skyrocket!  It has become a skill to pack a versatile carry-on
wardrobe.  Being plus size, our clothing takes up more space so packing a lot of choices is slowly not becoming an option.  But don’t worry! Through YEARS of experience packing for trips, I came up with items needed for getaways to avoid overpacking. Rather it's for a weekend or for a week here are the items you will need to pack in order to have an amazing and fashionable getaway.

Sleeveless Tunic Dress

Pool Dress. Summer getaways usually include pool party and or beaches so a coverup will be needed.  I can not stress how packing a pool dress can make a difference in your wardrobe. You can throw it on over your swimsuit after the beach for a lazy lunch or a stroll down the boardwalk.  Then, wear it over a fitted tank dress at the club at night. Try any one of these pool dresses from Land's End. We love the pattern and
the length is just right. It gives any shape an hourglass figure while showing off a sexy look.

Seven7 Jeans Trendy Shorts

and Tanks
.  I know what you're thinking...of course, we pack shorts and tanks. But do you know what KIND of shorts and tanks to pack!?!?  Shorts should hit at the knee or be 3 inches above the knee to be comfortable. For tanks, the best are ribbed tanks with wide straps.  The look the best for giving “the girls”
some shape and for covering up bra straps.
Navy is slimming and white is cool so try these colors instead of black when packing.  I love these trendy denim shorts from Macy's and Lane Bryant tanks. Their tanks are cool and comfortable and can also double as a top for a long summer skirt.
City Chic Ruffle Dress

Day to Night Summer Dress.  I can't tell you how versatile a summer dress can be.  A Summer dress can work for sipping wine
in the afternoon bistro and also for dinner at a restaurant. I’ve watched a tourist turned away from restaurants because of a dinner
dress code. News Flash: In most countries, locals dress up for dinner. I love this ruffle maxi dress from City Chic. Pair with slides, shades, and a fabric shopping bag in the day then add an earring and heels for night.  The lightweight fabrics and patterns are perfect for both day and night.

Accessories. Carry a bit more accessories as they can make the same dress look different and are smaller in size.  Pack items
that go well with everything and are trendy. Fringe earrings, leather waist bags, and a rose gold necklace are all pieces that work
well with any look.  BUT carry two different shape sunglasses. These sunglasses from Ray Ban are a great trendy style for every
face shape.

I hope all these tips are helpful to you all.  Don’t forget to share your pics of your summer getaway fashion in the
