REGISTRATION/DEPOSIT

Welcome to The Big Easy

Take the afternoon to rest and reset because at 8 o'clock the fun begins! We're head to Preservation Hall. Preservation Hall was  established in 1961 and is a historic musical venue and home of New Orleans Jazz. The band plays (5) 1 hour long sets every night in front of visitors. This is truly a local and cultural experience.

New Orleans Black Heritage Tour

Well start the day off at Lil Dizzy's Cafe, Home of the Gumbo Queen (if we're lucky..we'll meet her!). Afterwards we'll enjoy a guided tour of the French Quarter, Treme, Congo Sqaure and other influential Afro-Creole neighborhoods learning about the arrival of the first enslaved West Africans in New Orleans.

Po' Boys, Alligators, The Oak Alley Plantation

See the beasts of the Southern Louisiana Bayou in a full-day tour from New Orleans! Explore the lush wetlands and see one of the area's historic plantation homes, Oak Alley Plantation. Oak Alley Plantation is where you'll learn about antebellum life and stroll down its iconic tree-lined esplanade.

Second Line Parade

In New Orleans, culture also comes bubbling up from the streets and one of the most unique local expressions of this sort of culture is the second line parade. Second line is a historical tradition in brass band parades in NOLA.  They are the descendants of the city’s famous jazz funerals.. There are dozens of different second line parades put on throughout the year, usually on Sunday afternoons, and held in the French Quarter and neighborhoods all across the city.
