It's our favorite day of the week, #WanderCrushWednesday! Today, we're featuring Chardline Chanel a blogger and influencer from Boston, MA!
1. What has been your favorite vacation thus far?
My favorite destination, thus far, has to be Ghana. The people are very nice and welcoming. From the Afrobeats nightlife to ATV's in the Aburi Hills, I don't think I can think of a better place. Also, Ghana feels like source code all things Black. From the history of the enslavement of Black people to Black activists who lived in Ghana, I feel very much at home.

2. What countries/cities are on your travel bucket list?
Cities: Seattle, Boulder, San Francisco, and San Antonio.
Countries: Greek Islands, Maldives, Thailand, Brazil, Barbados, Antigua, Japan, Mauritania, Ile a Vache, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Cambodia.

3. Whats the most difficult part of traveling as a plus sized woman?
The most difficult part of traveling as a plus-size woman is the stares I often get while wearing bathing suits or shorts. I usually laugh, but after a while, you're over it. Also, other cultures speak about weight in a blunt manner. In the US, typically people have more decorum around addressing someone's weight. In Jamaica or Ghana, whilst the men find me attractive, their comments are often ushered in with a "Big Woman" this or "Fluffy Ting" that. When I travel with my smaller friends, they are usually asked: "What is your name beautiful?". Also, there are a lot of weight restrictions around certain machinery. I almost always lie and pray that I don't die, but typically ziplining is out of the question for me.

4. Top 3 travel essentials?
  • Comfortable shoes like Teva Sandals.
  • Full medical kit ranging from meds for itchiness to diarrhea.
  • Large fanny pack.

5. Any travel tips for plus sized women?
Only bring one pair of heels. You'll barely use em. Yes, you do need to pack like 90 underwear for your trip. They matter. Seatbelt extenders are on Amazon. While I can squeeze into most belts, why put yourself through the pain? This is for anyone who has knee pains: CBD infused products and Pain Zone are a great pain management tool. Also, stay hydrated.

6. You can find me EVERYWHERE at @chardlinechanel or www.chardline.com

Now the game is super simple. Just choose THIS or THAT.
